OB Rag Fundraiser: ‘We’re Over Half Way There’
The annual OB Rag summer fundraiser is in our third day and we can announce we’re over half way to our goal of $2,000!
Actually, as of this writing, we’re raised over $1,150 in donations and pledges.
Because we are independent and not saddled by advertisers, we need to look to our readers and supporters for a sustaining budget.
Here are some reminders why the Rag needs to survive and thrive:

Today, August 22, Mayor Todd Gloria announced his choice for the redevelopment of the Midway District: Midway Rising. It is one of three finalists to create a “do-over” for the Sports Arena area.
In troubling news for those opposed to the new ballot measure that would lift the 30-foot height limit in the Midway, the group that originally went to court and successfully blocked the former measure, has now aligned itself with the most Trumpian, right-wing politician in San Diego County: Carl DeMaio.
