Series of Burglaries Hit OB Restaurants
A string of burglaries have hit local Ocean Beach restaurants, and the businesses are trying to get the word out in hopes that people will be vigilant.
OB Noodle House 1502 has been hit twice within the last 3 weeks. Restaurant owners on the same block said burglars have been targeting their business too. There was another burglary at Pizzeria Luigi not too far away.
Late last week, on Thursday morning someone had broken in 1502 and used a pry bar to remove a plywood covering of broken glass, entered the building, and left with the restaurant’s surveillance system.

A small apartment building in Ocean Beach on Bacon Street was just sold for $1.86 million. And it’s unfortunate what will probably happen next.

What is the Paddle for Clean Water?
By Geoff Page
The machine is positioned in the middle of the deck about 150 feet from the gate.
It’s new, it’s modular, modern and ready to go but New Earth Recycling Center hasn’t been able to recycle one thing or make one buck. It’s been sitting on the east side of Littickers on Voltaire waiting for the city to assist them in removing the roadblocks (read new permits required by the city) that have stalled its opening for 9 months. And it looks like it may take another 4 months or so and another $15,000 for Josh Turchine and his business partner. Once it opens, however, it will even recycle electronics.
