An Ode to the Mean Green Team of Point Loma
Every issue of the online Peninsula News published by the Point Loma Association has mainly a photographic tribute to a large group of volunteers who take it upon themselves to clean and trim the green and public spaces of the Peninsula. They’re called the Mean Green Team.
Before the rains came, the Pen News ran this on the team, and now we pick it up as our ode to the folks of the Mean Green Team:

OB and other San Diego coasts are once again being hit with higher-than-normal tides. But this round is expected to be the last of the winter season.
Once again, and in the spirit of one picture says a 1,000 words, we check in with our usual live web cam sites in our local mountains. See for yourself the amount of snow that has been dumped on the upper elevations like the Mount Laguna Lodge at 6,000 feet.
There’s a new sign adorning the windows of the Ocean Beach Target that has taken some residents aback. It’s a Public Notice announcing an application to sell alcoholic beverages within the giant corporate store.
