Local activists and a Torrey Pine tree specialist have taken measurements of the Long Branch Torrey Pine, before, during and after this huge Pineapple Express storm – which was wet and very windy – and the tree did not move one inch.

Due to the huge storm that’s walloping San Diego, thousands of SDG&E customers – including dozens in Ocean Beach – lost their electrical power Wednesday morning (12/22/10). Apparently, it’s happening across the City and County.

East County residents lost their ground line telephone service yesterday and it still has not been turned back on.
