PLEASE, at a minimum, prepare to post a comment the weekend before Feb. 24, when the 72-hour window for comments is open online (details later), and come to the meeting at 1:00 pm on the 24th downtown to express opposition to this change. If you drive past the now vacant Rite-Aid location, envision its future with unlimited apartments and almost no parking. This change removes protection from super-development from Ocean Beach by name as the Ocean Beach Emerging Cottage Historic District – all of Ocean Beach from West Point Loma through Point Loma Ave, and – the Ocean to the West. An all cement Ocean Beach will roll right over the City’s Flood Control system.
