Heads up…wrong info up.
Beth Gilmore is the current president of the Ocean Beach Woman’s Club.
Here is a quote right out of Mel’s statement: “In my 1 1/2 years as the OB Woman’s Club president …” – present tense, not past tense.
Save Water is correct. And so is Mel. She did serve as the Woman’s Club pres (past-tense) and did a great job bringing that place back from the brink. I was very pleased to see Beth Gilmore elected to the President role after Mel left though. Both fantastic community leaders, and I hope to see Mel continue her great work on the OBTC board.
One correction please. I have lived here since 1979 full time, off and on prior to that going back to 1961 due to my mom being in the Navy at NTC and moving around :) Thanks!
