Protest Against Ian Rey’s Firing by Point Loma Sprouts – Friday, May 10 at 6pm

Many of us have heard about Ian Rey, a developmentally challenged  employee fired at Point Loma Sprouts.

They said he stole another employees jacket. It looked like a black sweatshirt jacket he wore all the time and he mistaken it for his.

Channel 10 news did a piece on it. There is a protest this evening — Friday, May 10th at 6 PM.
They are asking protesters to wear black jackets.

  1. Our son worked at Sprouts for 1 year an witnessed a lot of firings for some of the most stupid reasons. He left before he got fire for who knows why… Not real good job security. We’ve always said that someday they’re going to fire the wrong person and bring trouble on themselves….And now they have. We have boycotted Sprouts for the past 2 years. The “Grocers Union” needs to go in there and clean house with a bunch of people who don’t have a clue how to run a fair and lawful business…. It seems every time an employee gets a few raises”Which are few and far between” they get targeted. If you’re reading this and ever worked at SPROUTS and this sounds familiar you should speak-up and tell your story so the public will know what kind of company their dealing with.

    1. Dear Andrew, I have sent in a story of my experience being “let go” by Henry’s / Sprouts. It is so similar to what Ian is going through that it sent chills down my spine. I hope Frank will use it so people can see what is really going on at that store.
