There is a nation-wide group that is organizing a boycott of companies that carry Trump products, or are owned by Trump or have other relationships with him. It’s call #GrabYourWallet and they believe economic push-back by American citizens and others is a very valid form of protest.
Their campaign has already been going on for nearly 4 months now and it has achieved some successes. Here is how they describe themselves and their history:
The #GrabYourWallet movement tracks & boycotts retailers that sell Trump family products as well as corporate leaders who enabled the political rise of the Trump family through fundraising and/or endorsements.

The #GrabYourWallet boycott began October 11, 2016 in the wake of the Trump Tapes when a brand strategist and a grandmother simultaneously realized they could no longer in good conscience shop at retailers that do business with the Trump family.
Never having met, Shannon Coulter and Sue Atencio joined forces and announced on Twitter they’d be boycotting any retailer that carried Trump products, with the goal of motivating those companies on the list to stop doing business with the Trump family.
They published a short list of such retailers later that same evening and on October 14th, Shannon introduced the #GrabYourWallet hashtag — both as a rejoinder to Donald Trump’s infamous hot mic remark and a reference to women’s epic consumer power. The hashtag and the movement exploded on social media and has been viewed over 600 million times.

The campaign has identified over 80 companies but here we are focusing on their top 10.
No. 1. – Nordstrom: Retailer that carries Ivanka Trump products shoes, clothing, handbags.
On Feb. 2, Nordstrom made an announcement that it’s phasing out Ivanka Trump items due to poor sales. The company has further clarified that it’s selling through remaining inventory, but will not be replenishing. Once that inventory sells through and the process is complete, the group will be removing Nordstrom from the #GrabYourWallet list.
No. 2 – Macy’s : Retailer carries Ivanka Trump products of clothing, jewelry.
No. 3 – LL Bean : Board member raised funds for Trump PAC ;
No. 4 – Bloomingdale’s : Retailer that carries Ivanka Trump products of shoes & handbags;
No. 5 – Dillard’s : Retailer carries Ivanka Trump products k- clothing & accessories;
No. 6 – Zappos : Retailer that carries Ivanka Trump products of shoes, clothing, handbags;
No. 7 – Amazon : Retailer that carries Donald & Ivanka Trump products – shoes, clothing, home;
While they applaud Jeff Bezos for joining in the fight against Donald’s unconstitutional Muslim ban, it’s worth noting that Amazon relies heavily on engineering talent from abroad so while his action is welcome, it’s likely not a purely altruistic one. Perhaps that’s why Bezos feels it’s worth standing up on immigration issues, but has been silent on Donald’s treatment of women. It’s also worth noting that to date, Amazon still advertises on Breitbart News.

Have any companies ever been dropped?
Absolutely, here is what #Grab says:
Kawasaki USA – Dropped on Feb 18. The company reached out to #GrabYourWallet on 1/17/17, saying “we would not elect to sponsor the show again so as long as Mr. Trump is involved, including as an Executive Producer ” The company was an advertiser on Celebrity Apprentice of which Donald Trump is a paid Executive Producer. The company’s product placement occurred 1/16/17.
Uber dropped on 2/2/17 . On 2/2/17, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick announced he would leave Donald Trump’s Economic & Policy Forum, which was the recommended action for Uber to be removed from the boycott portion of the #GrabYourWallet list.
Neiman Marcus was dropped on 2/3/17. On 2/2/17, #GrabYourWallet participants noticed that there were no longer any Ivanka Trump items for sale on the Neiman site (the last check on 1/21 had shown 21 products there). Chavie Lieber at Racked published a story the following morning noting the development and later that day, Neiman Marcus issued a statement: “Neiman Marcus has a very small Ivanka Trump precious jewelry business which is compromised 100 percent of consigned merchandise (merchandise owned by the vendor).” This season, however, they have decided not to carry the line. They continued, “Based on productivity we continuously assess whether our brands are carried in stores, on our website, or both.”

I think it is outrageous that this is being done. I will boycott any store that drops her products. Macys and Amazon, Marshalls and TJ Max are my favorites but I will not shop there if this continues.

There’s something in accounting called Independence in fact and appearance. He is not independent in fact and in appearance. In the general public it’s roughly called conflict of interest. When the President of the United States also has a huge business empire, that creates a huge conflict of interest. When soon to be president Trump met the Japanese Prime Minister, Ivanka Trump which serves no government role also met with that Japanese Prime Minister in a closed door (no media/press coverage), and Ivanka Trump has business interest in Japan. That’s a huge freak-en conflict of interest. We must force integrity on the President, when he refuse to divest in his business while being the leader of this country.

I agree with you Ms. Waldecker. This is shameful. I have already written an email to Belk’s website stating that I will turn in my card and boycott them for dropping her line. This is totally un-American. They are not supporting free enterprise which is the basis of our country! Belk said it was due to lagging sales but I don’t believe it. Let’s see how these stores feel when all the sales will truly be lagging due to such a shameful decision.

It means that stores can handle their own business according to what they think is best for it and for their profits. This is totally American in every way. I am so proud that the boycott is actually working! i recently saw an Ivanka Trump purse at Sam’s Club, and was disgusted by it. It immediately gave me a negative impression of Sam’s, of which I actually have been a frequent customer. Sam’s Club should be on this list.

Also boycott Sears, I found out that their autocenter in upstate New York installed tires on Ivanka’s cleaning lady’s stepbrother’s mini van.

They sell everything under the sun, even Nazi paraphenalia. LL Bean has 5 wealthy board members. I’m guessing nearly every single fortune 500 company has a Trump supporter on their board… let’s add them to the list too.

Boycotts or not how we spend our money everyday is more important than how we vote.
If people want to boycott every company that opposes the so-called president’s travel ban there is a long list – Google, Apple, Microsoft, Twitter, and a hundred+ others.
LL Bean’s CEO has personally offered to help employees affected by the travel ban. They employ Somalian immigrants.
A boycott of these businesses is a waste of time and energy, it only makes the people who imagine they are doing something productive smug. Call your congress people and send a letter every day.

I have contacted stores I shop with on “the list” and have told them if they drop any Trump lines I will no longer shop in their stores. Every American has the right to shop in stores of his or her choosing. I would never tell you where to shop and who to support!!! I expect the same respect. Shame on any stores who choose to fold to the pressure of the Grab Your Wallet bullies! I wonder how many people protesting Neiman Marcus have ever shopped in one of their stores? The people I know who are offended by the Trump brands shop elsewhere. Why don’t you spend your time in a more productive way such as feeding the poor and helping them learn skills so they can have a better life for themselves and their families?

You call to tell stores you will not shop there (aka boycott) if they don’t carry a certain product, and then say “I would never tell you where to shop and who to support”. You just did.
Is anyone even buying these products? How do we know if they dumped it because it’s not selling or because of a boycott. Grabyourwallet is just giving info – people can choose to boycott or support on their own.

That’s correct, every American has the right to shop in the stores of his or her choosing just like every American has the right NOT to shop in the stores if his or her choosing. No one is telling anyone anything, they have started a boycott and listed the stores, it is everyone’s choice to participate or not. Why does this offend you?

I believe all companies should drop Ivanka Trump’s products due to the fact she is working on advisory capacity to the President and therefore her business should be sold as it is a conflict of interest and that she is profiting from her name as the President’s daughter. Another issue is that her products are made overseas and as the president is often flouting that we should have American made products, I find this hypocritical and unethical.

Until this article, I had no idea Ivanka even had a line of products. My question is, why is there a boycott agains her? She’s not the president. Is she being vilified for having the misfortune of being Donald’s daughter? Did she say something? Just asking.

That’s OK, Chris, I’m glad you looked into it a little more, we all appreciate that. Too many of these discussions between folks of different opinions don’t evolve by each side maybe thinking and learning a little along the way. It’s hard to keep emotion out of it sometimes. Ivanka is successful by association so I personally don’t think it is unfair to mark her guilty by association. Although many women opt to keep their maiden name, I’m sure in her case, there was no question about it because of the name recognition. If she were an independent person successful on her own apart from her father, then it might not be so fair.

I think there are two issues here. Ivanka Trump’s products are made in other countries
not in the U.S. . President Trump often rails against companies outsourcing their jobs to
foreign countries. Shouldn’t he and his family follow their own advice.
Second, it is astonishing that our President has the time to tweet about his daughter’s business (from which they both claimed they were stepping away). Doesn’t he have more important issues to deal with than his daughter’s fashion line?

It is very disturbing that people would support a person and his family who are determined in destroying human, civil, and birthrights of any human being. I support all companies that drop T products. Bravo for having real courage. So they lose some customers, but gain more customers, and they are doing the right thing.

I agree with Jetty Boy! I have a few things I NEED; but I will NOT be buying them at any of the boycotted stores. I try to shop locally and NEVER do Amazon. Since I only buy what I NEED I can afford to support the little guy.
