At about the time lots of folks were sitting down to a Christmas breakfast or cleaning up the remnants of a gift exchange, Frank and I were headed east, hoping to get a break in the weather and take a drive in our local mountains. Here’s a few shots of what we found, a winter wonderland, right here in the southland.

Frank and I with my camera at the ready strolled down to Newport last evening to catch a glimpse of the OB Holiday parade and rub elbows with some of our neighbors. We took in the lights and sounds at the intersection with Sunset Cliffs. Meanwhile our good friend and photographer, Jeff Stone, had his camera at the other end of Newport, down near the end of the parade. This year’s Parade Theme: Peace.

Today is going to be a big day for us, today is the day we are going to make the transition to our new format. There may be moments when our site will be inaccessible but I don’t anticipate too many problems. UPDATE: So, still a little fine tuning to do
