June 3rd, 17th and 24th Wednesdays 4 pm – 5:15 pm Resist Trump Flash Banner Action – Mira Mesa Event by SanDiego 350 Miramar Rd/Pomerado Rd. bridge over the I-15 San Diego 91926 The Raise the Alarm Team continues our 2026 Flash Banner Actions (FBAs) because resistance to the Trump administration remains as important as ever. So too is keeping climate change and the need for climate action before the public. We calculate that we are reaching about 5 to 10 thousand vehicles for each hour that our banners are up and the response from motorists is mostly positive. By our reckoning, we have held a total of over 30 banner drops in North County, Central SD, and the South Bay since we started in 2025. We will banner on the Miramar Rd/Pomerado Rd. bridge over the I-15. We’ll meet up at 4:00 PM between Carl’s Jr. and Courtyard by Marriott on Kearny Mesa Rd., immediately south of Miramar Rd. This section of I-15 is just north of the 163 intersection and covers a major group of commuters we haven’t reached in the past. If enough people from our team attend, we can cover both northbound and southbound traffic on I-15.  More info:  https://sandiego350.org/event/civi_event_1823/?instance_id=1473

June 4th Thursday 5 pm Online film Premiere of “An Ordinary Insanity” Recommended by Peace San Diego In this 29-minute documentary, renowned whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg provides a powerful wakeup call about the global threat posed by nuclear weapons and advocates how we can dramatically reduce the real and present danger of nuclear annihilation. Before he released the top secret Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War, Ellsberg was a nuclear war planner with access to classified information on U.S. nuclear strategy. Filmed one year before his death at age 92, Ellsberg speaks with clarity and urgency about the dangers we face, noting, ”I’ve long said that to my last breath I will be doing what I can to postpone and avert the risk of nuclear war.” With ongoing conflicts heightening nuclear tensions, and with the recent end of the New START treaty potentially triggering a renewed arms race, An Ordinary Insanity is a timely film to help mobilize broad public concern and action for arms control and nuclear disarmament. The free premiere will include a panel featuring director Judith Ehrlich, Ellsberg family members, and nuclear weapons experts and activists, followed by a Q&A.

June 6th, Saturday 2 pm Stop the War on Iran Community Forum  Event by About Face, Veterans For Peace in San Diego, and the Party For Socialism and Liberation  San Diego Liberation Center 810 L Ave. The U.S. has been waging a war of aggression against the nation of Iran for the past six weeks, and we need to stop it! As people living in the U.S., we have the power to put pressure on the Trump regime and push it to end its immoral and illegal war against Iran. We are only in this war to control Iran’s oil resources and weaken the country on behalf of Israel. Because of this, gas prices have skyrocketed, and the worst effects of the war have only just begun. The Trump regime knows it cannot win this war but continues to escalate regardless, even while the vast majority of the U.S. working class does not support it. Because of this, we want to bring together all anti-war and anti-imperialist forces to mobilize and strategize opposition to this war in San Diego. We will be holding an Interest Meeting, More info:  https://www.instagram.com/p/DY6KIbpxKG5/
