The City of San Diego is holding an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 12th about a proposed seawall along Sunset Cliffs. It will be held at the Point Loma Library from 5 to 7 p.m.
Even though the city documents say this is a “community meeting” the Rag has been informed by local activists that it’s an “informational” meeting only — which means no formal interaction between city reps and the audience, and no questions will be answered.
Please see the following City documents.

Here’s the City’s Notice

“…be that one one, etc.” What the heck does that mean?
America’s Finest City’s finest public notices.
what is the AC overlay??
Deborah, A/C overlay means road resurfacing using asphalt over concrete.
Who chose the names of this section of the cliffs on your diagram?
They were never used by any locals for decades. Pappy’s point, Claiborne’s cove, Rum Runners cove ( Pirates Cove ) now that’s a new one, and Osprey point mislabeled. Source probably a very old Thomas Brothets guide?
Rick, part of the problem is the ease of misnaming places on Google maps. I just noticed that Ab Reef is between No Surf Beach and Bird Shit Rock. I would prefer that the engineers talk in terms of parking lots 1,2,3, and 4. The current Google map has also captured a yoga class (?) near parking lot #2, a lot that was downsized for safety reasons. As for the name of Rum Runners Cove, I think it comes from internet blogs. It does make some sense, because it’s close to the old Mill’s Mansion, but the name is not very well known.
This proposed seawall is within the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park (SCNP). I’m wondering if it was ever presented to the SCNP council, and if so, where the public might find the minutes of this meeting.
