Coalition Bulletin: This Week at City Hall

Wednesday, December 10: Economic Development & Intergovernmental Relations Committee, 9:00 a.m.

Agenda reads “Meeting Adjourned” (as of Friday, Dec. 5). As the Rag reported last month, LU&H Chair Kent Lee abruptly adjourned the November 21 meeting. He incorrectly cited the lack of a quorum, even though a quorum of three members was clearly present. When Lee was challenged, he “shrugged, turned his back to the audience, and walked out.”
In-person: Council, 202 C St

The SD gov website states for the 40th and C project:
“Existing Site: • Total of 23 lots between 34 and 40 feet wide. • Development potential of 69-92 SFRs + ADUs. • Would require excessive grading, elimination of drainage channels, significant environmental impact”
That seems like really different than what’s mentioned on their agenda for today’s meeting. I wonder which is correct?
I love “this week at city hall”, please continue these articles. I get the city agendas weekly and try to follow them, but they are short on information about the projects, and the agendas seem to get revised many times throughout the day. “This week…. ” etc.. explains the issues and helps me understand, and sometimes, be alarmed at the items being discussed. thank you.
Thanks, Deborah. Anyone can receive “This Week” directly by signing up for the Coalition email list. We send out these weekly notices and occasional Coalition news updates (e.g., about our “Town Halls with Newsmakers” series). Send an email with “Coalition Roster” in the subject line to ObRagBlog@gmail.com, and Frank will forward it to me to add to the list.
