One of the leaders of the group, Protect Point Loma, released this statement:
Our group has continued to stay busy, vigilant and also attending other coalition meetings in other neighborhoods while also carrying the torch to the finish line.
We are getting to the final steps of filing a lawsuit against the city for 1004 Rosecrans.
Please join us for our next very informative fundraiser event. We will provide final updates on the lawsuit. We are trying to make sure that our new legal team will be present to provide the next steps from their office.
Hosted refreshments will be served. Goal is to continue to collect funds to file lawsuits. We cannot do this alone; our group is a 100% volunteer grass root group who have already contributed quite a bit of out-of-pocket expenses.
1004 project is almost at all stages of approvals, and we are ready to move forward with legal action. Community grass roots fight with a seasoned expert in the legal field.
Richard Bailey, former Mayor of Coronado will also be present as we hope he will run for District 2 and help us understand how we can best continue to save San Diego and our district.
IMPORTANT – we need volunteers to help us walk, talk and flyer our neighborhood for this event, please let us know if you can volunteer your time.
