At least three lawmakers were injured on Tuesday, March 4th during Trump’s state of the union address before a joint session of Congress, one of them seriously.
It was a chaotic scene as Democratic congress people and Senators reacted to Trump’s lies and attempts to stage a coup over the government and install an oligarchy.
Smoke bombs and flares were thrown, further fueling political tensions in the Capitol but preventing Trump from speaking further — he was rushed from the floor. Elon Musk was also chased from the floor by irate congresswomen and seniors.
Lawmakers were scheduled to listen to over an hour address by Trump, but the opposition party found its footing and role in the attempted coup and refused to allow it to happen. They said that Trump and Musk’s moves were illegal and that lawmakers should first insist on the resignation of Musk from any official role in the government.
Chaos erupted about a half hour after the session started, with opposition lawmakers blowing whistles and holding up banners reading “No Kings Here,” “Solidarity with Ukraine,” and “Hands Off Social Security,” as well as dozens of other signs. Some called for the Trump regime to fall. Thousands of opposition supporters rallied outside the Capitol building during the session.
Video footage from the assembly hall showed clashes between lawmakers and flares and smoke bombs being thrown. National media said eggs and water bottles also were thrown. Officials later said three people were injured in the disturbance.
Defense Secretary what’s his name was denounced and aides told reporters that Hegslath is considering resigning.
Oh, wait, this all happened in Serbia, not in Washington DC.
Smoke bombs and flares??? In the house of Congress??? And how is that any different than any war torn country???? And the voters elected these loonaticks???? Actually Pat, this is what SHOULD have happened…if the Democrats had any spines whatsoever and weren’t owned by the wealthy just like Republicans most certainly are. At the very least every Democrat should have walked out en mass as a protest to the lies that were spewed like diarrhea.
I did NOT watch that charade. Didn’t need to, the GOP MAGATS have shown us who they really are.

I would advise you to watch the entire short vid so you can see the lunacy (which you probably wouldn’t get), but see that GOP ‘lawmaker’ grab the little sign the Dem woman was holding? If I was her, I would have broken at least a finger as he grabbed me. Or pulled him down face-first onto the floor.
