Peninsula Planning Board Election Coming Up — Candidate Forum Thursday, March 14

The Peninsula Community Planning Board (PCPB) will be holding elections this month – March 2024 — to fill seven (7) vacancies. Five (5) seats have 3 year terms and Two (2) seats are One (1) year partial terms. 3 year seats go to the 5 candidates with the most votes.

Requirements for those interested in becoming a Board Member:

  • Candidates must be 18 years of age.
  • Candidates must reside, own property, or operate a business within the PCPB boundaries (boundaries map provided at www.pcpb.net).
  • Candidates must have attended one regular PCPB meeting within the previous 12-month term. Attending the candidates forum qualifies for this requirement.

The election will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, at the Point Loma / Hervey Branch Library located at 3701 Voltaire Street, San Diego, CA 92107.

Each voter must appear in person with proof of residence, business operation, or property ownership within the PCPB boundaries to vote. Mail-in or Proxy voting is not
allowed.

The candidates’ forum will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm, at the Point Loma / Hervey Branch Library located at 3701 Voltaire Street, San Diego, CA 92107.

Applications can be downloaded on the PCPB website at www.pcpb.net under the Elections tab. Email completed applications to: mvirissimo01@gmail.com

The deadline to submit an application to qualify for candidacy in the March general election shall be on or prior to the Candidates Forum on March 14.

Just a note. The Election time is from 4 -7 PM. We are sorry for any confusion.
