Former San Diegan Peter Navarro Exits White House

in Election, San Diego

Older San Diegans who know their local history might get a chuckle – or grimace – over this photo of Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro exiting the West Wing.

These days White House staff are getting the hell outta Dodge and taking their mementos with them.

Navarro, a former San Diegan, has been the Trump White House’s extremist China hawk who invented a fictional economics expert to bolster his arguments about China.

Here he’s leaving with a framed photograph of Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the 2018 G20, in a CNN photo taken Jan. 13, 2021.

Peter Navarro led a ‘slow-growth’ campaign in San Diego (Stop LA Now?), ran unsuccessfully for local office 3 or 4 times, and for a long time lectured at UC Irvine. But Navarro – like a number of San Diego politicians who try for the big time, like Petey Wilson, had a veneer of “greeness” to him that soon melted away and this guy morphed into a vicious, racist deplorable, and naturally picked up by Trump for his extremist views.

Let’s give him the credit he deserves…..5/five unsuccessful runs according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Navarro

“Navarro ran unsuccessfully for office in San Diego, California, five times.[4”

Peter Navarro is a wanker and a knuclehead and he deserves scorn and ridicule. For a long time.

So great to see all the trash being taken out like this. This is a twofer because the trash is taking out the trash.

Seriously what the hell happened him? He ran for congress as a progressive in the 90s, winning the Democratic nomination and, if memory serves, almost beating Brian Bilbray. I remember Ed Asner cut a commercial for him and Al Gore appeared at a fundraiser. He made enemies with Roger Hedgecock during that campaign. I can’t be the only one who remembers voting for him.

I’m sure I voted for him at least once. Maybe he became so embittered over his losses – the many losses – that he burned his bridges and sneaked into a rabbit hole of hatred.

To quote an apt movie title, “It’s All About the Benjamins.” If you want to make money as a pundit or a guy like Navarro, where else to you go but to the Right. That’s where the Benjamins are. How many highly paid idiot progressives are out there with little or no education, that are also evangelicals, and voice opinions based on nothing? Go to the right and you will make money.

Roger Hedgecock was not bad in the beginning. I used to listen to him and Stacey Taylor when they both had shows. But, Hedgecock made a sharp turn to the right, had a long running show, and made lots of money. All the progressive shows faded away, Stacey Taylor hopped around but never had the career Hedgecock did and he was just as interesting guy to listen to.

All the flotsam and jetsam from the LOSER’s administration will make money because there is a paying audience out there that wants reassurance that Right is Might. Navarro will land on a corpse somewhere.

Glad to find this report – Navarro is all of a sudden big [daily] on Real America [Bannon talk show] promoting his report, where he analyzed the data of the presidential steal of the election in the 6 swing states. I am sure he did a great job, he is mighty proud of it and wanted desperately to present it in the Senate if the impeachment would have changed to a trial with witnesses. .He wanted to push it onto the lawyers defending POTUS, but they did not go there.
What is highly disturbing to me is, that he tries to point fingers, badmouth others in his eagerness to be heard, considered and trump his own horn. If I was the President I would take him with a grain [an entire salt shaker] of salt – If you have to verbally destroy your fellow American to sell yourself, is a big red light flashing – only my opinion and experience..
