July 9th    Thursday  7 p.m.  Film Night   “I Am” – is a 2010 documentary by commercially successful  director Tom Shadyac.

The film explores Shadyac’s personal journey after a 2007 bicycle accident, “the nature of humanity” and “world’s ever-growing addiction to materialism.  He conducts interviews with scientists, religious leaders, environmentalists and philosophers including Desmond Tutu, Noam Chomsky, Lynne McTaggart, Elisabet Sahtouris, David Suzuki, Howard Zinn, and Thom Hartmann.

The film asks two central questions: What’s Wrong With the World? and What Can We Do About it?. July 11  Saturday  10:00 a.m. Climate Mobilization Coalition  Come help plan for the upcoming events in San Diego on climate action.  The Coalition has sponsored two events this year and plans at least one more in September leading up to the critical UN Climate Conference in Paris this November. July 15   Wednesday   5:30 -8:30  Green Building Council Presents “Biomimicry – Lessons Learned from Nature”. Join us for an exciting July GreenMeet with Jacques Chirazi, a Biomimicry professional and local expert. Jacques will guide us through an interactive exercise, and formal presentation on the foundational principles of ‘Biomimicry’. July 22nd    Wednesday  6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.   Stop ALEC Fest 2015   San Diego Grand Hyatt, Kettner at Harbor Drive  Join with the Citizens Oversight Project to expose ALEC at their 42nd Annual meeting.  ALEC is the American Legislative Exchange Council which operates as a lobbying machine for corporate interests and profiteering, a dirty influence in our political system destroying our democracy.  Please watch for updates on possible marches and events earlier in the day.  More info:
