SPRING VALLEY, CA.  Throngs came out to chant, yell, wave signs and discuss health care reform. Both the left-wing and the right-wing sent their legions to fill the auditorium in Spring Valley.  Congresswoman Susan Davis had called the town hall meeting – the only event of its kind in Southern California.

All photos on this post were taken by Patty Jones.

Great to see these images Patty. Thanks for the look.
I was at the “town hall” meeting in Redding which Cong. Wally Herger called (very conservative Republican) which led to the flap about the guy who identified himself as “proud to be a right wing terrorist” to Herger’s praise . . . and I swear some of the same people were at both events. Maybe they have organizers going around to these regional venues (both the Spring Valley and the Redding events were the only ones in their part of the state) and that is why sthey seem so organized. It was great to see a good turnout from the progressive side . . . we were so small and fragmented in Redding . . .and the Billionaires ere great . . . reminds me of why I like the left so much and was a great reminder that we can go in ever more creative directions.
I’ll show these pics to folks around here.

Oh wow. They have tee-shirts that say “BUY IT…READ IT”? Don’t they know you can download the whole PDF for free from the House committee’s Web site, and many others (if you don’t mind the running commentary) as well? I guess they don’t cover critical thinking skills at Teabagger U.

As a billionaire, I can assure you that those helping to keep me filthy rich have zero critical thinking going on. Right up to the point where we got back into the limo many of them were still believeing we were with them! There is a great youtube out from inside the event.
