Peace Sign Rockers Sign Off On OB/ Point Loma Rock

OCEAN BEACH/ POINT LOMA. Today, January 24th, the ones who were responsible for the installation of the Peace Sign on top of “Peace Rock” off Sunset Cliffs, have declared that they are finished with the Ocean Beach / Point Loma area for any future Peace Sign installations, and that they feel good about their “18 month run”. A spokesperson for the artists, signed in as “Peace Rocker” made these statements in a comment on the Peace Rock website. Peace Rocker also stated that they are fairly convinced that the art was stolen and simply smashed up, and it will not be returned to the community. A double tragedy: first, the peace sign is stolen, and second, the peace rockers have lost faith in our community.
