Well, I’m not — I mean I’m ok but have to have surgery in 4 to 6 weeks.

Hey Frank, so now you are just like the rest of us old guys in the clutches of the medical doctors. You mention that it will take you a couple of days to recover, so that sounds rather serious. Good luck in your recovery. I appreciate your long-term contributions to the OB Rag.

Extremely good to hear from you JTL! During the procedure, they determined I needed more invasive stuff, like surgery in 4 to 6 weeks. So, here we go! (BTW, did you check out my new book about The May 1970 Rebellion — lots about UCSD.) At any rate, unless you’re in Iceland, let’s gather.
Again, thanks everyone — the well wishes are incredible, both from friends and strangers alike. I need surgery in about 5 weeks. After that and after a hospital visit for 4 to 5 days, I’ll return with gusto. Until then, I’m here and hope you are too. (BTW, while I’m down, can you please deal with Trump and Musk.)
