A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after losing control of his motorcycle on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, on Sunday, March 16.
The unidentified biker sustained severe injuries, including multiple abrasions, a spinal fracture, a skull base fracture and a laceration to his leg. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police suspect alcohol to be a factor in this collision.
Police said the man, riding southbound in the 1200 block of Sunset Cliffs Blvd was riding a blue 2013 Harley Davidson Iron 883, and fell off his motorcycle in his attempt to drive through a curve. Police responded at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
SDPD’s Traffic Division will be handling the investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call SDPD’s Traffic Division or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.

Gosh. Very sad. Hopefully the guy will fully recover from his injuries.
“Police suspect alcohol to be a factor in this collision”.
I wonder how many folks simply ignored this portion of the story? I wonder if Pat’s and others would be sympathetic to this man if he killed one of their relatives in a DUI?
No alcohol buddy.
John, you’re right. I read about his very serious injuries and my heart went out, but I didn’t read the rest. It’s hard on everyone when one makes a very poor decision to drink and drive. Luckily this guy didn’t hurt or kill anyone.
Pat’s, I too hope that he recovers from his injuries. Let’s hope that includes his recognizing his own culpability in this “accident.”
Yep. That would be a stretch. No one else involved, leaves no one else to blame.
I caution my grandson who doesn’t own a bike, thank goodness, about drinking away from home, and how serious it can get in the blink of an eye, when speeding. Fingers crossed for this young man, for sure.
Thanks…
Im fine . And wasn’t drunk. Thx.
