In November of 2022, I wrote a column full of outlandish predictions that came true.
- First, that Kamala Harris would be named Vice-President. True.
- Next that Speaker Emeriti, Nancy Pelosi, would outlast Donald Trump. Ongoing.
- Third, that Kevin McCarthy would not last long as Republican House Speaker. True.
- Also, that Joe Biden would not be re-elected President. And neither would Trump. One down. One to go.
- Finally, that Liz Cheney would be the first woman to become the GOP leader in the House. In progress.
Indeed, former Rep. Cheney, defined her steely character in the January 6th Committee hearings. And just yesterday, announced that her endorsement of Kamala Harris for President. Remarkable timing.
As the 60 days to go before the election and just 5 days before the scheduled Presidential debate, Cheney has surfaced amid a flurry of GOP opposition (albeit some muted) to Trump’s candidacy amid his convictions, indictments, scandals, and the latest outrage over his “desecration” of the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery for his own photo op.
Add to this the latest investigation into his acceptance of a $10 million cash contribution from Egypt for use in his presidential campaign. Illegal.
And now, yet another school shooting in Georgia (a critical swing state) that left 2 teachers and 2 students killed and 9 others wounded. Include this in the head-shaking “unbelievable” category of “not again.”
GOP Rep. Mike Collins, who serves Georgia’s 10th congressional district, where the shooting occurred, is a 100% pro-gun supporter and a recipient of thousands of dollars from the NRA.
Then there are the latest polls. A near tie in the swing states. Harris winning in the overall popular vote.
My outlandish prediction, that could become another “true” one, is that this so-called “close” election will be a “blowout” where the current 15% undecided voters (too fearful, or uncertain about their and their country’s future) will vote for “CHANGE.”
Hence, Cheney’s chance to lead the GOP in the House to a better future… albeit still in the minority. Or secure a stellar Cabinet post.

Yes, a cabinet position, maybe Secretary of the Interior. Perfect for a Wyomingite.
She has “cojones”! as we’d say around here.
I admire her. I would send a donation when she runs for office again, even tho- I am a Democrat. We need more politicians like her. We may not always agree, but we speak the truth as we see it. Intelligent, honest opinions.
And now this. “Historian Allan Lichtman has finally revealed his prediction for the 2024 election winner, after determining that Kamala Harris has met the critical objectives for victory.” He has correctly predicted Presidential winners for last 40 years.
AND Cheney just endorsed Harris and so did Dick Cheney! Political Earthquake.
Why would anybody that calls themselves a ‘democrat’ want someone like Liz Cheney in their cabinet? Her voting record supported Trump right up to the last, she was and remains, an enemy of the principles of democracy.
Or have anything to do with the LIAR and not-indicted War Criminal and Mass Murderer father who was a signatory on Progress for a New American Century plan in the late 90s that might have well been the precursor that led to Project 2025?

Okay, the debate between Harris & Trump is over and the comments are coming fast and thick.
The absolute best and most hilarious yet was from Jon Stewart, when he ducked under his desk to projectile puke at learning that Liz’s daddy-pooh Dick ‘the Dark Lord’ Cheney has now endorsed Harris.

It’s obviously an attempt to help unify the nation — it’s part of building a united front against fascism. Why is that so difficult to understand, mi amigo?

I can see both sides Seal. YES, Liz voted with Benedict Donald something like 95% of the time, but you have to give her some credit. I personally think it takes some bit of courage to stand against your party, knowing that the vast majority of spineless cesspool dwellers will do everything they can to delegitimize you. Yes, Dickey Do can pound sand. He should be in prison at the very least for what he’s done. BUT Liz and Kinzinger both have actually taken a stand for what is right vs. tow the line to stay in power. And let’s not forget that this whole “putting a Republican in my cabinet” may very well be just talk to draw in a few more voters that may be on the fence.

We owe a debt. Throughout our history, Americans with opposing ideologies have made the ultimate sacrifice-BESIDE EACH OTHER, and that is the only reason that our respective dreams exist. The men and women who created this country understood the danger of domestic enemies. The LEAST that we can do to honor their sacrifice is to come together in times of extreme danger. That time is now.

If the MAGA/GOP do this…the options of peaceful transition of power even if Harris has a blow-out overwhelming popular vote count (which I actually expect) is unrealistic.
The Heritage Foundation’s head Fascist gave us the warning on what they will do, didn’t he? Fascists don’t kid much from what I gather reading history.
There has been an uptick in ‘target practice’ gunfire in these mountains since the debate. This is not my imagination. Yes deer season is coming soon but these are not just deer rifles being sighted in which I am used to hearing these last 20 years. They are AR-15s semi-autos etc etc, along with many different handgun calibers being used in rapid fire.
Not a good sign. Not at all. The I read this. Big sigh. I’m so f**king sick of MAGA Trumpies and their stochastic terrorism…

JMS: of course they knew about domestic enemies. THEY were the domestic enemies of their ordained King, terrorists who attacked their rightful ruler! Of course many of that landed class and status which they held membership in, certainly didn’t want what they just to poor King George happening to them, so naturally they wrote some rules trying to protect what they had grabbed away from King George. No surprise there.
But I feel that way about the Cheney family.
So speaking of rightful rulers, here’s a question or two:

I would expect that security all over the country around politicians is tightening up something fierce about now.

But Trump went a little deeper into his rhetorical morass of stupid. His Democrat-Marxist spiel has now turned into “Because of the Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying,” completely dropping the Democrat part. But it wouldn’t be complete without an email linked to a WinRed donation page that suggested donations of $24 to $3,300 now would it? Oh my no! The grift continues…
As for the humorous side of this, is it not ironically funny that since the 1950s Commie witch hunts, they have all turned into greedy Capitalists dictator types in this century?
