Shoshoni Ave, located in Clairemont Mesa, is facing the development of a 12+ unit “Bonus ADU” being built at the end of a very narrow cul-de-sac. Unfortunately, this development is being built by a Limited Partnership (LP), that has no concern for this single-family neighborhood, or the existing residents/homeowners.
They are only concerned about the profit they will be making. The infrastructure of this neighborhood cannot handle the scope of an apartment complex to be built on this street.
Shoshoni Ave. Residents and neighboring partners have begun the early process of obtaining legal counsel, to either stop this project or otherwise have it modified to a lower scale.
The money raised on this account will solely be used to pay for this legal counsel. This counsel’s charges are fee-based only, starting at $350, and the top expenses are unknown at this time. However, expenses could reach as high as $10,000 or more. That is why we have set our goal at that. If the funds do not get used for any reason, they will be refunded back to you.
If you are a Shoshoni Ave. Resident or even from another neighborhood that is facing this same situation, please consider donating to our fight. This could be the beginning of legal action for other neighborhoods that are threatened by these corporations that are taking over our neighborhoods.
Shoshoni Ave. Residents thank each and every one of you for helping fight our cause!

Hello San Diego Residents and fellow Clairemont neighbors.
Shoshoni Ave. residents have funded a Lawyer, and are moving forward with a suit to either stop or modify the plans for the 12 unit development. Our Lawyer believes that there is enough supporting evidence to present a writ, along with the possibility that this might set a precedence for future developments. Our expenses continue to mount as we move forward, and we have now almost spent the $10,000 goal we hoped to reach. Gratefully, some of the Shoshoni Ave. residents have stepped up to keep this proceeding going. Please tell friend’s, family and neighbors about this GoFundMe account. We plan to fight this “Bonus ADU” attack on our San Diego Neighborhoods all the way!

The Attorney is going to appreciate the $10,000 donation. This won’t be stopped.
not as long as the city council and mayor in chief go, “olay” to the developers and allowing them to infill everything.
I’m not sure what their grounds are exactly. Try litigating this: The municipal code says that if you want to build 12 bonus ADUs on a premises then 12 ADUs on premises have to be deed restricted as affordable.
I’ll take a wild guess the city is only asking for 6 of them to be affordable.
