ob-library-banner-upThe Ocean Beach Friends of the Library need volunteers to help out with the branch library’s Centennial Party coming up on Saturday, September 10th.

In fact, the Friends are having a meeting this Thursday, Sept. 8, at 10:00 am, at the library, for volunteers interested in helping with the 100th anniversary celebration.

If you can’t make that meeting but would still like to help out – or if you have any questions, please contact Laura Dennison, by phone or text, at (858) 255-0053.

In the meantime, Judy Collier, Membership committee head – and all the rest of the core group who make up this very dedicated cabal of library-huggers, hope to see everybody in Ocean Beach at the Saturday event – one of a lifetime. From 7 to 9 pm 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Ocean Beach Library, 100th Anniversary Celebration!  A Century of Books by the Beach – at 4801 Santa Monica Avenue, 92107.

Actually, the party at the Library is from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. – one more hour to party, with great food from Hodads, People’s, and other delicious food emporiums, a chance to bid on silent auction items from merchants and friends from all over the Peninsula, as well as time to dance the evening away with a d.j. spinning LP’s in the fenced-off parking lot.

Hope to see you there!
