Praise to the OB Rag From the Planning Board

The other day, the OB Rag received a wonderful letter of appreciation from the Ocean Beach Planning Board, signed by Chair Pete Ruscitti. The Rag was praised for our work on the OB Community Plan.

Thanks so much, OB Planners. The Rag was inspired by all those who dropped their normal lives for a few months and got involved in pushing the Plan through the various challenges – and finally to the San Diego City Council

Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.

  2. Yes, thank you to the OBRAG and all you do for Ocean Beach. And thanks to all the other volunteers who helped with the petitions! And thank you to Mindy for years of work on the plan itself. And thank you OBPB for sending that classy letter.

    Once the plan pass the Coastal Commission, time for a party!
