Rally in Support of Wisconsin Workers and Collective Bargaining Rights!

This week, the OB Rag has been helping our readers experience and observe Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s attempt to use budget shortfalls as an excuse to take away the  rights of more than 150,000 workers while tens of thousands of citizens protested this move.

The San Diego County Labor Council has called for a rally in support of the Wisconsin workers’ rights this afternoon (Feb 18th). We hope to join the countless teachers, nurses, public servants, students, firefighters, veterans, and working families–union and nonunion–who have refused to let this assault on workers stand.

Please wear RED in solidarity with the working families of Wisconsin and join us for a rally in solidarity.

Friday, February 18th at 4:30 p.m.

We have heard that about 160 rallied in the rain yesterday (Friday 2/18) in support of the Wisconsin workers, at an event called by the San Diego County Labor Council. If anyone who attended wants to chime in here, please do so.
