I am so very proud of each and every one of you who participated in that rally. There are millions who are 100% behind you. The unions have given everyone so many benefits that even non-union members take those benefits for granted, if they’re lucky enough to work for someone who will even give them benefits. Even management people build on those same benefits for themselves. Without unions, there’s no voice for the middle class in this country in the work place at all. Thank god I belong to a union. I wouldn’t have my pension now without my union, believe me. I know one thing…the minimum wage will be the prevailing wage for most workers if unions aren’t around to fight for decent and deserving wages. And forget about big business giving workers good benefits because it’s “the right thing to do.” Keep up the great wok you’re doing. I wish I could have been standing with you all at the rally.

You guys should have taken a picture of the tea bag contingent. It was one woman meekly holding a “Don’t tread on me” flag. She was all alone and very quiet
