Boycott FOX News Advertisers!

FOX News has always been the propaganda arm of the Republican Party, willing to twist facts and even lie to promote the Republican agenda.

But the election of President Obama in 2008 pushed FOX News into outright hate-mongering and incitement of violence, which is intolerable in a democracy.

Tell FOX News advertisers to cancel their ads:
http://www.democrats.com/boycott-fox-news-advertisers .

Here are some examples of intolerable hate speech and incitement to violence:

6/30/09 Glenn Beck agreed with guest who urged bin Laden to attack U.S. with nuclear weapons.

7/25/09 Neil Cavuto and guest said health care reform will impose universal euthanasia like “Soylent Green.”

7/28/09 Glenn Beck said “The President has exposed himself as a guy .. who has a deep-seated hatred for white people … or the white culture… This man is a racist.”

8/6/09 Glenn Beck “joked” about giving Speaker Pelosi a glass of wine with poison.

We join with FoxNewsBoycott and Color Of Change in this boycott, which is already producing outstanding results. In the first week, 11 advertisers cancelled their FOX ads: Campbell Soup, Chrysler, General Motors, Kellogg, Kraft Foods, Lawyers.com, Nestle, Pfizer, Proctor & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, and Walmart. FOX News has lately gone off the deep end, and is now promoting fascism. Real fascism, like the kind that brought Mussolini to power in Italy. Advertising with FOX News is like using tanker planes to drop gasoline, instead of fire retardent, on a wild fire. Hey advertiser! Don’t think you won’t get burned along with all the rest of us, if you keep it up.

We had a bad link to the petition, so please if you already tried to sign it and were “turned away”, come back and do it again.

Jones – boycotts can and do work. Ever hear of the Grape Boycott? the Boycott of South Africa? Consumers do have power, unless you’d rather just give up and get all cynical on us.

GOOD NEWS! from color of change, the org promoting the boycott: ColorOfChange.org this week received confirmation from four more companies — ConAgra (maker of Healthy Choice products), Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, and RadioShack — pledging to pull their ads from Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck show. These new defections come on the heels of reports that Men’s Wearhouse, State Farm and Sargento also pulled their ads in recent days. They join LexisNexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, SC Johnson and GEICO, who all pulled their ads from Glenn Beck after the news host called President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people,” on “Fox and Friends.”

Faux news aside, I would have to say the most right wing news station in San Diego would have to be channel 9/51 KUSI. I don’t think old man McKinnon even tries to hide it. During the Presidential election I remember little Danny Plante actually rolling his eyes after one of Obama’s speeches.

McKinnon’s brother’s piece the other night left little doubt as well, one thing though Mr. McKinnon, the word is “Especially” not X-specially.

“Faux News”, as you all think you have so cleverly coined them, is so slanted? Have you actually looked at any statistics on liberal vs conservative journalists employed by each media company? If you want to see slanted, take a look at MSNBC and your highly promoted New York Times.

Are they more conservative than most media outlets? Yes. Especially in their editorials and commentaries. However, they do not go to such lengths to try and credit their commentaries as fact as your Chris Matthews or Keith “Only I think I am wonderful” Olbermann shout. However, much of their day is spent without any editorials.

I also notice that you brand all of “Faux News” and Republican propaganda while citing only 2 persons as hatemongers (Cavuto and Beck). I thought liberals were supposed to be tolerant and understanding? I guess that is left to us Libertarians.

Look at it this way….You can listen to media that appeals to you just as I can listen to media that appeals to me. However, I listen to both sides and then, this is where your emotion doesn’t apply, RATIONALIZE. The point is, and this goes back to the news business even during Ben Franklin’s time, not only is disagreement in media going to happen, it is good.

Oh, and just because you think you are always right doesn’t give you any reason to suppress others that disagree.

Boycotting establishments that show Fox News and the companies that advertise on fox is a great Idea; however the effect might not be felt as hard as boycotting the parent company of FOX news. Conducting a boycott of Fox News alone will have very little effect if any, because those who would participate in such a boycott are Americans who don’t watch Fox News as it is. Boycotting Fox’s parent company, News Corporation, and all the other channels it owes might have a great effect. A well developed e-mail should be generated and distributed to the masses to boycott all News corporation products and media to include, FOX Broadcasting Company, FOX Sports, MyNetworTv, FOX Business, FOX Movie Channel, FOX NEWS Channel, FOX College Sports, FOX Sports En Espanol, FOX Sports NET, FOX Soccer Channel, Fuel TV, FX, NAT Geo Wild, National Geographic Channel, Speed, STAR, and most importantly all local FOX Television Stations. The boycott should call for a date to commence this boycott so that everyone stops watching at the same time. The Boycott should continue until News Corporation develops programming that lives up to its slogan of fair and balance. News Corporation should be asked to generate disclaimers before all its programming that denote actual news programming and programming that is merely entertainment like the Hannity, Glen Beck, and the Greta show. Boycotting the other networks that News Corporation owns will have a greater effect because many Americans who do not agree with the lies and hate message that FOX NEWS presents are not watching FOX News however they are watching News Corporation’s other networks and their local channels. If local channels begun to notice massive decline in their viewership they will pressure News Corporation into re-visiting its programming on FOX NEWS. Sending the boycott email to groups who are greatly affected by the hate message on FOX News; like African Americans, Latinos, and pro- labor groups can generate interest and possible massive movement towards the boycott. The Boycott should take place before the November 2010 elections so that it might gain the attention of politicians and use their platform to increase the interest in the boycott. I’m sure someone out there is eloquent enough to type up the message and through social media distribute it. I would love to generate the message but as you might have notice my grammar is not as strong as it should be to convey something this powerful.

Boycott KUSI – Channel 9 in San Diego – Traitors & Sell Outs
This “news” station has endorsed Proposition 23. Total sell out to
oil corporate. California has worked very hard and spent millions of dollars to bring a clean energy and air pollution standards in our state. This proposition is funded by two oil companies that have much to gain by rolling back pollution standards.
Let’s keep our state less polluted – NO ON 23 – Boycott KUSI!!! shame on this clown organization!! Let’s demand taxing oil companies for oil extraction in our state!!!

Fox News is full of hate speach. It is for people who enjoy hate speach and alot of drama. If Bill O’Reilly does not like what you have to say he will tell you to Shut Up and will kick you off of his show with alot of drama. Glenn Beck looks like he belongs in the insane asylum at times and does not understand that Martin Luther King Jr. was against war and not pro-war, as Glenn Beck seems to have missed out on the fact that MLK was a Peace Activist who spoke out against war as well as being better known as a Civil Rights Activist.
Rush Limbaugh seems like a hate filled narcotics abusing junkie with too much money. He once ranted how he Hates Obamas’ Purple Lips… isn’t it kind of racist to hate someone based on the color of their skin?

Here is some Canadian views on Fox News. There are several scenes of Fox News footage about three quarters of the way into this film:

I am sorry, it appears that the Google Video -“CBC – The Fifth Estate : The Lies That Led To War” that I posted above has been taken down or censored.
I will attempt to find another full length feature of the same movie.
I really like that movie and I can see why the Right Wing War-mongers who are for this never-ending oil war that the Bush Family started, would want to censor the movie because it exposes the truth.
It is a great movie that shows how hate filled Bill O’Reilly is in real life and it also exposes the facts that during the 1980s’ when Saadam Hussain was tourturing ,killing his own people and using mustard gas as a way to commit genocide on the Kurdish people there were records shown that out own C.I.A knew about it and the next year
our C.I.A. gave Sadaam Husain more money and more weapons.
The video also talks about Bush Jr. ‘s false statement about the finding of some new yellow cake uranium Iraq from Africa. The movie “Fair Game” (with Sean Penn)covers this issue of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson as they worked for the C.I.A. bravely exposed and told the truth about the false statements from those in power and how lies were told as reasons to go to war with Iraq, and how Scooter Libby went to prison.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Bush Oil Corporation had a very close relationship with the Bin Laden Family.
The Bin Laden Family were practicly the only people flying across America when all other air traffic was grounded on 911.
After the bombing in Oklahoma City there was a construction firm that was given the go-ahead to build a new federal building to replace the one that had been bombed.
The name of the construction firm was The Bin Laden Group.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I really like this blog.
Fox News is for people who think watching the drama and hate speach on that channel is entertainment.
I am glad that we have Freedom Of Speech in this nation.
America has gotten itself in Oil Wars that were started by the Bush Corporation.

“Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.
In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of subduing the force, of the people…. [There is also an] inequality of fortunes, and the opportunities of fraud, growing out of a state of war, and … degeneracy of manners and of morals…. NO NATION COULD PRESERVE ITS FREEDOM IN THE MIDST OF CONTINUAL WARFARE .”

If you are having salary cap issues before the season starts or if
during the season a player gets hurt, you can drop him yourself and then bid
on them again, essentially renegotiating their contract.
The 2015 season will begin in late March and continue through July
4th weekend, ending three weeks prior to NFL pre-season. I have overheard girls demanding to
know who scored the touchdown, LT or Shonn Greene (to their
dismay it was LT, not Shonn).
