According to San Diego police, neighbors reported hearing a bang and seeing a flash in the alley between Brighton and Cape May avenues on Sunday night.

When authorities arrived at the 5000 block of Brighton Avenue, they noticed burn marks in the alley and damage to a vehicle. Shrapnel was also seen spread throughout the area.

  1. Unrelated to the actual story: the yellow house shown in the photo reminds me of the “Trolley Car House” in Mission Beach at Venice Ct. and Mission Blvd., 700-block.

The yellow house is behind & perpendicular to two other houses (2075 & 2079 Abbot St.) that also look like they may be repurposed SD trolley cars.
