During the campaign and even now, trump speaks as though 90 percent of the undocumented immigrants are either from prisons or mental ill facilities, or they are terrorists. For decades, people have been crossing the southern border for a better life. To work as migrant laborers on farms and in other industries where the very low wages keep the US products competitive.
Then there is the claim that 11 to 12 million illegals have criminal records. Actual statistics do not back up these claims, as the data does support that 6 percent or less have criminal records. To put this number into perspective, about 30 percent of Americans have criminal records with 8 percent being felons.
This is ust one more trump lie.
To date, I have not seen any reports of journalists who have tried to get the identity of these masked, unformed thugs who manhandle immigrants in their homes, at their jobs, in their schools and on the street. Who are these people? Thanks for reminding us again that they are still here.
