Voting will be open through April 27.
Here are the candidates and their statements (in the order sent to the Rag).

I think it’s important for the community to know that the Ocean Beach Community Foundation (OBCF) was formerly the Ocean Beach Town Council, which operated as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit.
Today, OBCF is a 501(c)(3), and this represents a meaningful legal and operational shift.
As a 501(c)(4), the former Town Council was able to engage in broader advocacy, including speaking out on policy and legislation affecting the community.
Now, as a 501(c)(3), the Foundation is limited in the amount of lobbying it can do and is prohibited from political campaigning or endorsing candidates. In return, it can receive tax-deductible donations, and its primary focus must remain charitable, educational, and community-building activities.
The Ocean Beach Community Foundation has done a truly outstanding job this past year organizing events that bring our community together. These events — not political advocacy — are now the Foundation’s primary focus, in keeping with its 501(c)(3) mission.
For residents who care deeply about local advocacy and legislative action, it’s important to understand that OBCF’s role has changed, and separate efforts may be needed to carry that work forward.
Thank you to the Foundation leadership and volunteers for their hard work in keeping the spirit of Ocean Beach alive through these wonderful community events. I know it’s been very challenging.
