“Ceasefire in Gaza” rally this Saturday, August 24th, 2024 from 10 AM to Noon in the Ocean Beach area !!

Please note: Rally time is now an earlier two-hour period — come any time between 10 AM and Noon.
Come join a growing number of your friends and neighbors, at least 30 folks last Saturday, standing out on a busy corner in Ocean Beach, demanding a CEASEFIRE in Gaza, and demanding that the U.S. stop providing Israel with weapons that have already killed over 40,000 Gazans, most of these deaths women and children.
This weekly demonstration, organized by the San Diego Veterans For Peace and the progressive women’s group, CODEPINK, will mark the 34th consecutive Saturday at the same location, corner of West Point Loma Blvd and Sunset Cliffs Blvd, with the group growing in numbers each week. Parking is available on West Point Loma Blvd and nearby at Robb Field.

Apparently there are people in San Diego with nothing better to do than to support terrorism and terrorists. Let’s not forget Hamas attacked first on Oct 7th 2023 and killed more than 1200 Israeli citizens and took several hundred more hostage! Hams has yet to return all hostages and has yet to surrender! As far as I am concerned, Gazan’s are getting what they deserve!

Both sides elected extremists to govern them and you get what you got coming to you when that happens. But , considering that we have done the same here , and our World has suffered the consequences of same ,what kind of moral authority does that give us ? But yes, we do need to apply more pressure. A cease fire is a two way street. I wonder if either political entity can keep their promise? I suspect not.
Me? I focus on stuff I can affect my life and that of my family. You know, neighborhood issues. But hey if standing on the corner in OB calling for peace between two parties in the Middle East who have been and will continue to kill each other for the foreseeable future, go for it!
But I have better things to do.
