Here’s the slide show presentation from the last meeting of the OB Planning Board on March 5 that explains the recommendations the planners are making to improve the short term residential occupancy ordinance (STRO). It was presented by Vice-chair Kevin Hastings.

No STR
Good catch! 4851 Niagara is a Mickey Mills property, but is not one of his STRs (yet). 4851 Narragansett is a 4-plex, owned by Jennifer Carpenter through an LLC, and all 4 of which are listed on Airbnb and hosted by her. 9 beds, that’s 9 heads displaced from the community.
Why do you want to limit the number of STRs in a building? They’re going to exist why not have them all together?
Because these are where our lower cost affordable housing units are located. And Jen Campbell promised these apartment building owners wouldn’t be able to obtain 10 STR licenses to begin with.
This is simple and enforceable and would prevent a corporation/LLC with 10 parties from converting a 10-unit apartment into a hotel, even under a 1-license-per-owner rule.
