We have Black women mayors in major cities, serving in Congress and state legislatures. In San Diego, we elected the first Black woman to the County Board of Supervisors. In 2024, we will honor and celebrate the progress we’ve made. In the past five years, community members of all racial and ethnic groups have come together to honor women leaders in our community. We have sponsored over 500 high school and college age young women “Future Leaders,” to attend as our special guests.
