It is that time of year, once again, for the annual OB Holiday Auction – but this year the folks who put it on want you to come on out cuz it’s the 40th Anniversary of one of the major social and festive events of the holidays.
It’s all happenin’ this Thursday, December 5, from 5:30-9 pm at the Sunshine Company, located at 5028 Newport Avenue. Of course, behind it all stands the good citizens of the OB Town Council – and the auction is a major part of the annual OB Food & Toy Drive, which benefits local families and seniors in need during the holidays.
Last year, nearly $10,000 was raised! ($9600 actually.)
You must come down and join the OB Town Council and other locals for one of the most festive activities held in OB during the holidays.
It’s a great time and you can bid on some awesome prizes. Or not, there’s nobody that says ya gotta bid on anything, but at least it’s fun watching Mike James as an auctioneer and the whole bidding gig.

Alison Lyons with her very generous bid, won the privilege of turning on the OB Christmas Tree lights on Saturday. The money raised goes to the OBTC’s food and toy drive.
Initial report says $11,000 was raised last night, has yet to be confirmed officially by OBTC officials, but that’s what Laura Dennison says.
