Join us in some amazing photos of high tides – and waves – in Ocean Beach, on Thursday, October 29th.
Albert C Elliott and South OB Girl both captured moments documenting this day of splashing waves. Elliott said, however, he’s seen bigger waves and higher tides.

This is ACE’s fave: he told us: “A guy had jumped off the Pier and got caught in the massive rips and needed help. The lifeguard running and jumping off the pier was there before any rescue boats. Good job Lifeguard.”
Meanwhile, in south OB …

The beach is gone. The beach at Bermuda is underwater. When the tide is not as high there is a sandy beach that people can walk on and sit on. South OB Girl
The street is drenched. The high tides can splash the height of the bluff 30 feet into the street. All photos at the viewing area at the end of Point Loma Ave.
