Scenes at Dog Beach

At the northwest end of Ocean Beach sits a sandy respite known as Dog Beach. Nothing more needs to be said. It is a local wonder, an international destination, and a model for all other ‘dog parks’.  Everybody who has a dog has been there. In fact, we kind of glorify the place.

San Diego photographer Jen Wilbur agrees. She loves the place and is allowing us to showcase some of her photos of dogs at dog beach. Her website is here.

Do you have some photos of OB? Send ’em all in, bro, sis, dude, dudess. We’ll display them and then you’ll be famous. Just remember us little guys on your way up.  Send them to us at:

I’ve really enjoyed reading the OB Rag that past few weeks, and checking out the pics from local photographers. Excited to see my pics here, too. :)

Jen – I echo doug porter’s comments. occasionally I come out of the ocean at Dog Beach. I do remember the beach that was there before it became Dog Beach. There was a dirt road over the hump and a huge sand parking lot and a huge sand berm between the parking lot and the ocean.
