To the Nerd Reich Taking Over, We Have to Say Hell No!

by Ernie McCray

I’m shaking my head,

wishing I could go upside the heads

of a handful of

self-righteous wealthy Silicon Valley tech moguls

I just finished reading about

in a most revealing book, The Nerd Reich,

devious fascist narcissistic eggheads

who, in spite of

their enormous wealth

and command of AI

and algorithms galore

and social media

which controls our lives,

find themselves entrapped in gloomy lives

hell-bent

on virtually destroying ours,

and other democratic forms of government,

and ruling the world,

and hauling ass to Mars

where they can

wallow in their riches

and give each other high fives

while humanity dies,

and their chicanery

is in play

right before our very eyes,

having bought lock, stock, and barrel

our president

and vice-president

who follow their instructions

100 percent,

going along with the likes of Elon Musk

who went about attacking and trying to fire federal employees,

all to bring our country to its knees

and render citizens

vulnerable,

left to die as poor

unnecessary human beings, if you please.

And, indeed, they have accomplished a lot

towards what they seek

but what they’ve mostly been successful at

is causing chaos

in our nation’s capital

and on our streets.

And we, as a society,

have to take heed

that these coldblooded heartless billionaires

have the resources

to continue wreaking havoc in multiple dimensions

against humanity

but there are more of us than them

and taking them on is going to be a long journey,

one which will require us to stand tall

against their obscene misdeeds,

as we’ve been doing lately,

every day for the rest or our lives

and prepare our children to resist

what’s happening for the rest of their lives,

as these fools can make it so

that someday

human beings

will be something that existed

a long time ago.

So, regarding the Nerd Reich taking over,

we simply have to say to them

loudly and clearly

in their face:

Hell No!

I was raised in a loving and alive home, in a black neighborhood filled with colorful characters in Tucson, Arizona. Such an environment gave me a hint that life has to be grabbed by the tail as tight as a pimple on a mosquito's butt. With no BS and a whole lot of love. So, from those days to now I get up every morning set on making the world a better place. On my good foot*, and I hope my writing reflects that. *an old black expression
