No 6 Entry: 250 Years of America Overshadowed by Threats of War

Words cannot cover what it’s  been like since Donald Trump got elected President again.Worry, anxiety, doubt, despair and bad dreams are  my companions these days. I have been flying a small flag upside-down at my front door until Trump’s war on Iran ends.

There is always the mitigating gob-smacking Crime du Jour: President Trump’s unprecedented annual earnings report of $2.2 billion for his family and their private businesses — like crypto (which is “regulated by the government” Trump heads, Trump Bibles, Trump shirts-and-shoes merch — all while he holds public office. Critics are calling this a potential conflict of interest.

But what preoccupies  me is Trump’s arrogant ignorant  misalliance with Israel’s criminal prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is jonesing to destroy Iran.  Trump has joined Bibi’s war with no notice, no consultation, no consent sought from the U.S.Congress. Trump tore up Obama’s 10-year nuclear weapons production detente with Iran and instead, Trump/Hegseth/Rubio/Vance/Lutnick/Kushner have twice interrupted diplomatic negoatiations with Iran, first to “obliterate” (kill off) Iran’s leadership hierarchy and then to bomb Iran’s infrastructure and tighten economic sanctions against its people.

Anything goes. And anything could happen. Worldwide, oil crises ensue as the Strait of Hormuz is closed. Maybe that is the least bad result.

Unlike Israel, Iran has friends in the region. Sympathetic factions remain in Iraq and the new Syria; Hamas in Gaza; Hezbollah in Lebanon; Houtis in Yemen who have interrupted  international shipping in the Red Sea. Every time Israel/US planes have bombed Iran, Iran retaliates by bombing one or more of eight  big American military bases located in the nearby countries of Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq or Syria. Those countries are understandably destabilized by such attacks and they respond in kind.

Trump is now a sidekick Daddy Warbucks to Netanyahu. Netanyahu is the perpetrator  of Palestinian genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, the military occupier of neighboring Lebanon, is at war with neighboring Syria and now Iran. Trump provides Netanyahu with American sons and daughters in uniform, American ships and planes and missiles and bombs. And $300 billion+ annually for general Israeli “defense.”  Both the United States and Israel have nuclear capacities. What could possibly go wrong with such leaders?

Iran is no equivalent menace to the megalomania of Netanyahu and the profound heedlessness and stupidity of Donald Trump.

Together, they make the nightmare possibility of unanticpated nuclear disaster in the Middle East and the world seem lively and real in America’s 250th year.

We’re already in WWIII, the war for diminishing resources. Can’t threaten with a nuclear blast if you don’t have the petroleum to power the rocket or planes to deliver on the threats.

And hand-in-hand is a return from behind the curtain of blatant public rule by Oligarchs of the 19th & 20th Century that never let go of our throats.

Anybody else listen to Demented Diaper Don the Dictator’s Mt. Rushmore speech? I know, everyone were all focused on his NON-celebration of 250 years 4th of July All-About-Trump Rally on the National Mall, but he let a number of really scary utterances out of his mouth the day earlier.

They made his hate speech the next day even more dangerous. He parroted the speeches of Sen. Joseph McCarthy…among others.

Has everybody reading the RAG actually READ NSPM-7 that Trump signed?
    YOU SHOULD.

This woman breaks it down quite succinctly, section by section:

Who do you think fits into his categories for ‘removal?’
