Scenes From Today’s ‘No Kings’ Actions from San Diego and Across Nation

The Rag has been posting photos from today’s “No Kings” actions from downtown. Some of these first few are from the County Admin building around 10a.m.

Civic Center

In Utah

Back at Waterfront: as of 10:30 crowds still arriving.

The 2 crowds begin to merge.

The Waterfront crowd laps itself. The Waterfront crowd is much larger than the one that marched down from Civic Center.

  1. Finally San Diego shows out. Great pictures that really show the scope and mass of the event. What a relief to see our community together.

I haven’t seen a rally this big since the beginning of the Iraq war and the nighttime candle lit march through downtown. This was a family event that ran the gamut of emotions of joy, sadness, relief and hope.

It was such a relief to see the police supporting the people (at least what I saw). This was such a contrast between Trump’s campaign visit before his first presidency when the cops were out in full riot gear and in such numbers that it looked like a war zone.

Is this the start of something bigger?

I challenge you to ask yourself what you can do, how you can foment change, how you can speak out, how you can act and be less afraid? I’m asking myself the same questions.

This only has meaning with more work.
