Trump Pledges Use of Military for Mass Deportations After Declaring National Emergency

On Tuesday, November 19, at the San Diego Union-Tribune, these were the first lines of the main article:

President-elect Donald Trump confirmed Monday that he intended to declare a national emergency and use the U.S. military in some form to assist in his plans for mass deportations of immigrants who do not have legal residency status.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump responded overnight to a post made this month by Tom Fitton, who runs the conservative group Judicial Watch and who wrote that Trump’s administration would “declare a national emergency and will use military assets” to address illegal immigration “through a mass deportation program.”

Around 4 am., Trump reposted Fitton’s post with the comment, “TRUE!!!”

Over at the LA Times, the main article was headlined, “Plan to deport millions involves military” and began:

President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to execute mass deportations of immigrants in the U.S. illegally will involve the military and a national emergency declaration, he confirmed Monday.

In a Nov. 8 post on Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, Tom Fitton, who leads the conservative legal group Judicial Watch, wrote: “GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonald-Trump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”

Trump responded early Monday: “TRUE!!!”

Asked for more details of the plan, Trump transition spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement that “President Trump will marshal every federal and state power necessary to institute the largest deportation operation of illegal criminals, drug dealers, and human traffickers in American history.”

This is America’s future and we voted for it (or at least less than half of us did), but nevertheless, it does not portend an easy transition to the Trump Regime.

The use of armed military when dealing with civilians most often results in violence, injuries and sometimes death.

Some pundits are saying Wall Street and business sectors that thrive by the use of undocumented migrants will cry foul! and it all will never happen.

Whatever happens, it will certainly be rocky and make the January 6th insurrection look like a tourist party.
