You Now Need to Pay for ‘Point Loma-OB Monthly’ Online — OB Rag Still Free

The U-T’s online magazine, the Point Loma-Ocean Beach Monthly, will now charge readers – as they established a paywall last Friday, June 21.

The publication warned its readers:

If you receive our emailed monthly newsletter, you will still receive it, but starting June 21 you’ll need a subscription to open articles.

… As all U-T publications will require.

Over the last few years, we’ve found some valuable articles at the publication. And it’s too bad that now the site will have a paywall.

But Just As a Reminder …. the OB Rag is still free online.

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.
