Yes, I’m taking today off. Feeling achy and tired as I received my second dose of the Moderna vaccine yesterday. I’ll be back Friday.
Stood in line for about 40 minutes early in the afternoon and luckily no rain fell during that period. The shot itself was totally painless. But I spent a good part of the night watching TV from the couch.
I feel fortunate, however, to have received my second vaccine. My better half – even though she works in the aircraft industry – has yet to be included in those eligible. Her elderly mother is waiting for a local supermarket / pharmacy to have enough doses so she can begin her series.
Of course it’s totally worth it! No hesitation.

I had the exact same reaction to my second shot – achy & fatigued the day after. It passed quickly and I felt much better the next day. Hope you get better as quickly.
You two guys must be much older than you look! My second shot of Pfizer just gave me a bit of a sore arm for awhile but not enough to keep me from shoveling my 15 tons for the day.
A day off is a good thing, editor dude, even if for this, hope you feel better soon.
I had the Moderna version.
As did I. It seems the Moderna vaccine causes more of a reaction. As with regard to age, I know of a younger health care worker who was sick for days. It just depends.
Thank you all for getting vaccinated! Frank, hope you’re feeling back to normal soon. From all reports, it seems like most people really do feel better by the second or third day. Fingers crossed!
I’m not eligible yet, but I’m looking forward to 2-3 days after each of my shots, too.

Consider the alternative, Frank; my second shot was rescheduled a week because of vaccine shortage.

I’m much better today – back among the humans. And thanks for all the well-wishes; Joe Biden sent me a get-well card (he signed the $1.9T covid relief bill).

Glad you got it and feeling better I was really sick after #2 Moderna. Didn’t feel better until the 3rd day.
