A GoFundMe page has been established to help Mother’s Saloon in Ocean Beach rebuild. The restaurant suffered a major fire over the weekend.
The organizers are hoping to raised $20,000. As of this writing, $13,326 has been raised by 159 donors.

Isn’t that the point of insurance? I’m all for helping others, but this seems a bit weird to me. But maybe I’m a bit biased because I picked up cigarette butts almost daily in front of their restaurant for years since they decided to let it all go into the drain right there…….

As I must mentioned, the new owner is not a Trump supporter. We were talking to her weekend before last.

I can tell you matter of factly the new owner is no Trump supporter. Not by any stretch.

No worries. She used to work @ Lucy’s. My wife and I were chatting with her about new plans when things get back to normal(ish), out bewilderment at Mike Hess’ s disregard for safety and the fact that he IS a Trump supporter. I wish the new version of Mother’s well.

Well, I’ll tell you, Don, if they still supported trump at this point, I’d take down the post. The OB Rag is not going to support insurrectionists no matter their situation. But they don’t. So moot point.

I know that the place WAS called Mother’s Saloon, but the name did not survive the sale of the place. New name is North Side Saloon.
