Last 2 ‘Classic’ OB Rag T-Shirts Up for Auction

UPDATE: We have 2 winning bids – the auction is over.

It’s true! The very last two Classic OB Rag T’s are up for auction.

For years, we offered OB Rag T-shirts as part of our fund-raising efforts – all printed at James Gang in OB, all 100% cotton and all with our logos. But over time, the swag gig was time-consuming and didn’t generate all that much at any one time. We did sell dozens and dozens of our shirts, including various styles and logos.

Now here we are today. We have the very last two OB Rag T’s in the classic variety. And they are up for auction.

They are both:

  • White
  • Medium size
  • All cotton
  • Classic – with the “Green OB” on the back.

How to Participate in the OB Rag T-Shirt Auction:

First, make a written offer only in the comment section of this post and leave only your name. Do not send us anything yet.

The auction will last from today, Thursday, Oct. 10, through the weekend until midnight Tuesday, Oct. 15. At that time, the two highest bids will be awarded the shirts. And once we notify the winning bidders via email and they deposit their bids at our PayPal account (button at top of banner) and they are verified, we’ll make the announcement and mail out the shirts. Minimum bid is $5.00.

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.

  1. I’ll go $25. It’s the least I can do. Just think, I will have the only OBRag t-shirt in Shasta County if I get it . . .

  2. congrats Tom G and Dickie- it got a bit too rich for my blood, but I hope you wear them with pride! Go Rag :-)

        1. If the shirt would have been a large I would have bid against you, retired botanist. But I, too, just don’t have the big bucks for a t-shirt regardless of how cool I think it is. And like Dickie, nobody would have a clue up here by the Canadian Border!
