Last Wednesday, August 28 – there were three important meetings held in the Peninsula.
One in Ocean Beach at the Masonic Center with the OB Town Council, a second at the Point Loma Library for a Special Meeting on Famosa Canyon by the Peninsula Community Planning Board and a third at the Portuguese Hall for a community presentation of the Port’s Master Plan.
And the OB Rag covered them all. Above are reports on each one.
It’s all possible because our readers and supporters keep us going with donations.
But we can’t keep covering all these important, local events without more donations – ya see, we’re in the final days of our annual fundraising campaign – and we’ve just moved away from our halfway to our goal of $2,000.
We still need another $600. So, we need to appeal to you, dear reader, to keep your source of local news alive – by going up to the PayPal button at the top right of our home page and making a contribution to help keep the lights on.
$2,000 isn’t all that much to ask of our communities for support for one year.

I rely on the OB Rag to help keep me informed on local issues. I encourage my neighbors and friends to donate what they can to help them reach their modest goal of 2 grand to keep them going for another year.
Yep, Denine, I love the Rag too for that, and for all the community service they provide as a forum for discourse on issues that are both local and national. I’m putting something in the mail :-)
It’s amazing that the San Diego Union and The Reader can’t make it on millions and the Rag, the only one worth reading, are asking for a whopping 2 grand.
