Our friends near the boarded up Ebers-Greene project took photos the other day of notices posted on the property.

The notices are addressed to the property owner, Nelco Properties, LP, in relation to 2269 Ebers Street and warn the owner he is in default under a deed of trust or mortgage and unless he takes action to protect his property, it may be sold at a public sale.

The total amount due is $1,077,927 and 34 cents.

The property is scheduled to be sold on February 16, 2018 at 10:30 am, at the entrance to the East County Regional Center in El Cajon.

This is the latest development over the controversial building.

Here are some of the notices (click on images for larger version):

A former lawyer and current grassroots activist, I have been editing the Rag since Patty Jones and I launched it in Oct 2007. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.
