Project Review Committee Has Full Agenda
The OB Planning Board has a sub-committee – the Project Review Committee – which does a preliminary assessment of development projects that come before the full Board. And this Committee’s agenda is quite full for Wednesday’s meeting, August 16th. They meet at the OB Rec Center, 4726 Santa Monica at 6pm.
The following projects are before the Review Committee:
- 4719 Bermuda
- 4950-4956 Saratoga
- 4820 Point Loma Avenue – Note: the Houlton Bluff Repair will not be presented on the August agenda. The developer for the project has notified OB planners they are in a response period to city review comments and will be completing additional geotechnical materials, so they decided it was a bit premature to present.
- 2150 1/3 Abbott
- 5018 Narragansett

Another project besides the Houlton Bluff one has cancelled – stay tuned – and we’ll let readers know.
The project at Abbott and Muir has also cancelled.

Thanks Molly for your comment. Editordude concluded after a number of my columns were published that they just were not attracting many readers, that my hippie wit and wisdom was not popular with anyone, no one made comments and hit the LIKE button. Apparently these are important. I basically agreed with him, but I was disappointed though as I really thought old hippies and young millennials would dig the jive, you know what I mean?
Well Old Hippie, I always liked them.
At least one of my columns spoke openly and positively about the use of mushrooms. Must have offended the sensibilities of our readers. The old OB Rag readers back in 1970s would have thought no big deal.
