ob-lib-death-cafe-grafDid you know that on Saturday, October 22nd – the Ocean Beach Library is hosting a “Death Cafe” at 2 pm?

Now what, you may ask, is a “Death Cafe”?

It is a nationwide movement to gather people together, often strangers, to eat cake, drink coffee or tea, and discuss death. The objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.

A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. There is no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.

And there will be refreshments! Cake and coffee or tea.

So come join us for a fascinating discussion! OB Library, 4801 Santa Monica Ave., 92107
