OB Womans Club website imageThe Ocean Beach Woman’s Club is holding their annual rummage sale on this Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They’re located at 2160 Bacon Street.

The Club is accepting items to sell today – Friday – from 4 to 7 p.m. at their Club house. They’d especially appreciate quality items to sell, like new and almost-new things like furniture, jewelry, housewares, books, small appliances, electronics, kitchenware, sporting goods, tools, kids items and gardening equipment.  Larger items can be picked up by calling (619) 222-1008, leave a message and your call will be returned.

Proceeds from the yearly sale will go towards their OB community projects as well as for maintenance and improvement of their Bacon Street house.

From their website:

The Ocean Beach Woman’s Club has been a “Hub of Activity” in OB since 1934. We are one of the oldest civic groups in San Diego. We were instrumental in the paving of the OB streets, installation of the sewers, securing street lights and garbage disposal, acquiring a recreation center and public library, secured lifeguards year round, planted the streets with trees, shrubs and flowers, served as a recreation center for servicemen in WWII, helped acquire the Ocean Beach skate park at Robb Field, and our latest project the Ocean Beach Woman’s Club community garden.

The Club also holds monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday at 5:50 p.m. at their place at 2160 Bacon St. All interested women are invited. The Club can also be rented. For more information call 619-222-1008 or email info@obwomansclub.org.
